4th July



This tutorial seems long but is easy to do, lots of screenshots
You will need my supplies, link posted at end of tutorial
Colours or patterns of your choice, I'm using the stars and stripes I've taken from a USA flag
Take Butterfly into PSP
Take fireworks into AS, animation resize, resize to 250
Take the copyright line art butterfly into psp
Windows duplicate to preserve original for later use. Close original
On layer pallette, right click on background layer/promote background layer
With magic wand, click on lines of line art, so you have marching ants



Selections/modify/expand by 1
Flood fill these lines with #0000c0, You may have to zoom in
Select none
With magic wand click in areas you want to colour first,
Selections/modify/expand by 1, This is mine



New layer, Flood fill with colour/pattern of choice,
Add inner bevel, these settings



Select none, This is what we have



Merge visable
With magic wand click in next lot of areas you want to colour
Selections/modify/expand by 1
New layer, flood fill with second colour or pattern
Add inner bevel, same as before, Select none, Merge Visable
With magic wand, click in next lot of areas you want to colour
Selections/modify/expand by 1
New layer, flood fill with colour/pattern of choice, I'm using #324e8d
Add inner bevel, same as before, Select none, Merge visable
New layer, Add a star, Like this



Add inner bevel, same as before, Add drop shadow, these settings



On layer pallette, duplicate, Image/mirror, put into place if needed
New layer
Add another star on bottom solid colour,Add Inner bevel, same as before,
Add drop shadow, same as before but change colour to #b00024
Duplicate layer. Image mirror, put into place
Merge visable, thats our butterfly done
Image/canvas size, change size to 450 x 380
Move butterfly down, like this



Add layers for text and watermark using colours of your choice
Merge visable, This is mine



Next step
Open a new canvas 450 x 380 transparent
Flood fill with # 020202
Merge all (flatten)
Image/add borders, these settings



Click inside with magic wand, flood fill with #b00024
Add inner bevel, same as before
Image/add borders, same as before
Click inside with magic wand, flood fill with white, add inner bevel, same as before
Repeat again using blue
Copy/paste your Black bacground image and butterfly into AS
Your fireworks has 10 frames, so we need 10 frames for black background and butterfly
Right click on frame one of black background/ copy,
Hold Ctrl down and hit "L" 9 times to give you ten frames
Click on first frame, hold Ctrl down and hit "A" to highlight all frames
Repeat with the butterfly
Click on first frame of fireworks, hold Crtl down and hit "A" to highlight all frames
Right click on first frame of fireworks/ Copy
Right click on first frame of black background, paste into selected frame
Repeat with the butterfly frames, check my Sig for positions
Ive set my speed to 20
If you are happy, save as a gif file
